Camren offers senor cleaning for APS-C sized and full frame sensors of digital SLR cameras. Winter is an excellent time to have your sensor cleaned for many reasons. Some photographers make a considerable amount of their income during the holiday season. Our sensor cleaning service will inevitably save you time during post processing by helping to keep your images clean from dust. Some photographers, however, put their cameras up for the winter. If this is your method of usage, it is a good idea to retire the camera until the spring with a clean sensor surface. Like battery corrosion, dust and particles can do unexpected things during hibernation. We do recommend sensor cleanings as part of a general maintenance program so that it will remain a consistent and long lasting part of your creative toolbox.
Half-frame, or APS-C, sensor cleanings are available for $49.95 and Full Frame sensor cleanings are available for $69.95. Cleanings are generally completed within 24-48 hours and a 'while-you-wait' service is available for an additional $10.00.

Digital SLRs Showing Resilience & Dependability
In November, Photo Industry reporter, Barry Tanenbaum, reported that Digital SLR camera are showing resilience, an appeal to a wide market, dependability, and performing as consumers and professionals expect. Men and women alike are purchasing from the wide variety of equipment and cross-over potential from entry-level into pro-level cameras and lenses is high. Bob Doljack, from North Dakota's Bob's Photo, says, "People are taking their own graduation pictures, they're coming in and printing those photos on kiosks, and making collages and books." Photo Industry reporter Jason Schneider points out that, "DSLRs can be bought that represent more performance per dollar than ever." Cameras operate quicker in every aspect, a handle has been made on noise and resolution issues, and the digital sensor has made itself as accepted as film as a working, dependable, and efficient medium. Schneider also says, "pundits who prognosticated a lull or plateau in the digital SLR market as we move forward into 2009 got it wrong. If anything the pace of technological development, the emergence of fascinating features, and the franetic competitiveness in this key camera sector have been ratcheted up a few notches." HD movie capability, higher quality image processors, expanded ISO control, large LCD screens, in-camera editing, live view, and GPS tracking are a few of the engaging features consumers and professionals alike can enjoy now that we have all moved past the sluggish and noisy origins of digital photography. Improvements to the Cameraphone
Though cameraphones are typically used for incidental, web-based, make-it-the-camera-wallpaper photography, their future as reliable devices looks bright. According to Wireless Zone, 1 in 5 consumers use their cameraphone as their primary camera. So, it is an excellent thing that 1.3 and 2 megapixel cameraphones are becoming 3 and 5 megapixel models and performance improvements that are not only electronic advancements, but those geared toward camera operation. If you are looking to get or replace your existing know that higher resolution, improved optics, more responsive shutters, dual LED flash, and face detection are becoming more and more standard. To improve your cameraphone use, know that good light is critical, avoid using the digital zoom, get close to the subject, stay still, and remember that a grainy image on the screen might look much better on the screen or in print.
